Do you think the City Council made the right decision in banning rickshaws from the city?   Laoch Rione - No I don’t. I think the rickshaws are fantastic at the end of the night when the heels are pinching and I can't walk! And the fact that they have don't charge a fortune was brilliant too! The council are a miserable shower!   Sharon Keaveney - They were getting pretty annoying, they started off as an advertising media and went on to become nearly as expensive as a taxi.

    Do you think the city is getting value for money for the €460,000 in expenses paid to councillors annually? Alan Sixsmith - Of course it’s value for money, expenses are only payable because the councillors had to pay that money out of there own pocket first.

    Would you use a Park and Ride service operating between Galway Airport and the city centre?   Mary Walsh – Yes, as long as the price is right. I always take advantage of the Christmas Park n’Ride, takes a lot of the stress out of the day   Marie O’Connor - If it was operated according to a timetable suitable for those working in the city, as well as those visiting/shopping, and offered at a reasonable cost, it would be a fantastic use of the Galway Airport facilities.

    Should Bord Iascaigh Mhara abandon plans to locate a salmon farm in Galway Bay, following widespread opposition from local anglers and environmental groups? Sandra O’Donovan - Yes. Quite apart from the environmental implications, the idea of placing the world's largest salmon farm slap bang between three huge tourist attractions and areas of outstanding beauty is about as barmy as it gets.

    Is Galway City Council doing enough to protect the city centre from flooding?    Caroline Harrison - You just have to look at pictures of yesterday to know the answer to that question   Ewelina Hellebrandt - It's unrealistic and impractical to expect elaborate flood defences so keeping the existing drains unblocked is a feasible measure.
