Political cabaret
Leviathan, the critically-acclaimed political cabaret, makes a welcome return to Galway at Monroe's Backstage Bar on Thursday 26 April.
The first in a series of monthly conversation cabarets, this month's event features a panel including Connacht Tribune editor Dave O'Connell, Hot Press journalist, hell-raiser and author Olaf Tyaransen, cartoonist Allan Cavanagh and others to be announced.
There's also sharp musical satire from Late Late Show house band leader Paddy Cullivan, slam poetry from Marty Mulligan and special guests, and a comedy film from Doris/Magee productions.
Whether you get stuck into the topical debate, listen to the panel or passively enjoy the entertainment, the aim is to inform, entertain and engage.
Doors open from 7.30pm and tickets priced at just €10 are available from Monroes.ie.
