Ríonach Ní Néill, Galway Dancer in Residence, brings the best, cutting-edge Irish dance-makers to Galway for three days of contemporary dance performances, talks and events.

The three-day Dance Festival, International Conference and Art Exhibition will present new works, reworkings and contexts for dance performance and practice, extending discussions and understanding of the role of contemporary and traditional dance forms in Irish culture and society today.

The World Premiere of ‘Frame’ takes place at the Black Box Theatre tomorrow, Thursday 19 April, at 8pm, with tickets available for €15 and €10.

‘Corp Real’ performance takes place at the Black Box Theatre on Friday 20 April at 2pm. Including video works from Andrew Duggan and Cindy Cummings, tickets for ‘Corp Real’ cost €5, and include free entry to the Corp Real symposium, which takes place at the Black Box Theatre on Friday 20 April at 3.30pm.

‘Cuairteoireacht – the Rambling House’ takes place on Saturday 21 April at a location to be announced on the day with a coach pick-up at the Town Hall Theatre at 6.30pm. Set in two empty houses on the crossroads between past, present and future, the event revisits and reawakens the ‘cuairteoireacht’ tradition of the rambling house in a Galway ghost estate.
