Claregalway based business and executive coach William Corless has been elected Director of Operations and Finance for the International Coach Federation (ICF) in Ireland.

Founded in 1995, the ICF provides independent certification of coaches and represents more than 16,000 professional coaches worldwide.

Speaking following his election, Mr Corless said he is honoured to represent the growing number of accredited professional personal and business coaches in Ireland on the national board of the international coach federation.

“The Irish chapter of the International Coach Federation is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of coaching. These standards include attainment of recognised qualifications, continuous professional development, credentialing, supervision and a strict code of ethics,” said Mr Corless.

He is keen to encourage personal and business coaches to register as members of the ICF and join to the coaching community at its highest level.

An accredited business and executive coach, Mr Corless brings over 15 years experience of leading and empowering people to the role. He combines hands on business experience in operations management in a wide variety of sectors with diplomas in business, engineering, coaching, neuro-linguistic programming, training and psychometrics.

He is a mentor for the Executive MBA in NUI Galway and has also addressed the National Forum on Resilience in Áras an Uachtaráin.
