Do you think people are right to protest against the €100 household charge?'

Trisha Doyle - Of course people are right to protest against the charge. Why should people that have worked hard throughout their lives to own their home have to pay a fee every year. They've paid, or are paying, their mortgages, so they've paid their debts. It's another knife in the back of the ordinary people.

Dave Moran - The protests are completely justified. This is just another example of a charge that is going to be brought in at a low rate and is then going to ‘snow ball’ from three figures to four. Just as the income levy has gone from one to two percent. Student registration fees used to be £150 and now stand at €2,250. At what point is enough enough?
