Over 40 members of the Massachusetts State Police will take part in this year’s Galway St Patrick’s Day Parade.

The MSP was founded in September 1865, making it the oldest state-wide police agency in the United States. Its primary mission is to provide law enforcement to rural areas underserved by existing local police agencies.

The St Patrick’s Day Parade in Galway will provide a platform to showcase local artists and community groups and a wonderful opportunity to see groups and bands that come from all over the world to parade through the medieval streets of Galway.

The St Patrick’s Day Parade organisers are now welcoming applications for all groups, including community initiatives and groups ranging from theatre to vintage cars.

The theme for this year’s St Patrick’s Day Parade is ‘Green’ and this can be interpreted in any way.

To apply for the parade, download the application form at www.stpatricksgalway.com or email info@stpatricksgalway.com.
